Race Committee should be at the Club at least 1 hour before the scheduled start time. If you cannot make your Race committee assignment it is YOUR responsibility to find a suitable substitute. A suitable substitute is a person with at least as much ability to operate the boat, set up and run a race as you have. Assigned Race Committee is responsible to make sure the boat is fueled and has all the appropriate Race and Safety equipment aboard. Race Committee should be on post and ready to start the race at the scheduled start time. There should not be delays between races. Because of difficult tide schedules there are many 3 race days. In order to get them all in on the tide we need to start on time, avoid delays between races, and possibly consider shorter courses, especially on light wind days.

Racers must be at the start line early enough to start at the scheduled start time. If the scheduled start time has passed and there are at least 3 boats prepared to start, the Race Committee should not delay the start by more than 5 minutes to allow late boats to arrive (on very light wind days race committee should make allowances by locating the start on the close side of the bay or even in the channel)
